I ’m nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there ’s a pair of us—don’t tell!
They ’d banish us, you know, from hell.
How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the whole long day
To an admiring bog!
Victory comes late,
And is held low to freezing lips
Too rapt with frost
To take it.
How sweet it would have tasted,
Just a drop!
Was God so economical?
His table’s spread too high for us
Unless we dine on tip-toe.
Crumbs fit such little mouths.
IF I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
I shall not live in vain.
I asked no other thing,
NO OTHER THING was denied...!
And yeah...i live one simple life.
